Aeon's End, 2nd Edition is a cooperative deckbuilding board game for 1-4 players. Players take on the role of "Breach Mages" defending the underground city of Gravehold against bosses known as "Nemeses". The 2nd edition features updated graphic design on the cards and updated rules.
Key Features
No Shuffling: A defining mechanic of Aeon's End is that you never shuffle your deck. When your deck is depleted, you flip your discard pile over exactly as it is, requiring you to carefully sequence and plan what you discard on previous turns.
Variable Turn Order: Instead of standard player-then-enemy rounds, the game uses a turn deck to randomize turn order, simulating the chaos of battle.
The Core Box Contents: The base 2nd Edition box comes with 8 playable mages, 4 different nemeses, and 27 sets of supply cards.
Magic Breaches: Mages open, focus, and prep spells on magical "breaches" to unleash devastating attacks on the nemesis.
